Topic A: The Civil Conflict of the Republic of Sudan
Topic B: Intervention of the Haitian Crisis
Committee Topics
The Security Council is convening to address the ongoing civil conflict in the Republic of Sudan, a country facing deep-rooted instability due to political, ethnic, and economic tensions. The conflict, exacerbated by internal power struggles and regional interventions, has resulted in widespread violence, displacement of civilians, and a humanitarian crisis. The international community is deeply concerned about the impact on regional security, human rights abuses, and the failure of ceasefires and peace negotiations. Delegates must consider comprehensive strategies to restore peace, stabilize the government, and ensure long-term development while addressing the urgent needs of the Sudanese people.
The ongoing crisis in Haiti has escalated into a complex situation marked by political instability, gang violence, economic collapse, and humanitarian suffering. With basic government functions crippled and law enforcement unable to maintain control, armed groups have filled the power vacuum, leading to widespread insecurity. The deteriorating conditions have prompted calls for international intervention, but the balance between respecting Haiti's sovereignty and addressing the urgent need for stabilization remains contentious. The Security Council must explore coordinated efforts to restore order, provide humanitarian aid, and support long-term solutions to rebuild the country's governance and infrastructure.
